How to create a bootable Windows XP SP3 CD

Step 1

Create 3 folders - C:\WINXPSP3, C:\SP3106 and C:\XPBOOT

Step 2

Copy the entire Windows XP CD into folder C:\WINXPSP3

Step 3

• You will have to download the SP3 Update, which is 316MB.

• Rename the Service Pack file to XP-SP3.EXE

• Extract the Service Pack from the Run Dialog using the command:

• C:\XP-SP3.EXE -U -X:C:\SP3106

Step 4

Open Start/Run... and type the command:
C:\SP3106\i386\update\update.exe -s:C:\WINXPSP3

Click OK

Folder C:\WINXPSP3 contains: Windows XP SP3

Setup 4

• To create Bootable File Use Magic ISO.

• Just Download Magic ISO.. Google It!

• Open Magic ISO. Insert your XP cd in CDROM!

• Click Tool, Click On "Make ISO From CD/DVD".

• Locate your output File To C:\XPBOOT , Click on "Export Boot Image" and Then Click On OK. It will export Image File From XP CD to Make your File Bootable!!!

How To Creat Image File For Writing To CD for Making Bootable XP SP3 CD.

Setup 1

• Open Magic ISO.
• Drag Your All Files From C:\WINXPSP3 to Magic ISO As Shown In Picture

• Now Click On Tool, Then On "Load boot Image", Then Select The Image File From C:\XPBOOTSP3.

• Now Save The Image File By Clicking File and Then Save. It Will Save your File As ISO Which Will U Write To CD for Use.

Now Last Step... Just Write Your Newly Created Image File To Your CD With Your Favorite Writing Software Link Alcohal or Nero!!
